An insight into the photography industry

Photographing a christening

Report

After photographing the christening I have gained essential skills to photograph on my own without anyone assisting me. I feel as this is a vital progression in the steps of developing as a photographer as I have gained the confidence within myself as a photographer . Here are some of my images from the shoot I have edited these slightly by adjusting the brightness, expose and by adjusting redeye as I had to use flash in low lighting.I kept these images natural with a few black and white edits as the couple wanted natural looking photos.

Information about the shoot

This event lasted about 30mins but the priest didn't allow pictures whilst the ceremony took place and I had to recreate some of the shots as you see above,However I managed to get a beautiful image of the priest pouring water on the baby's head which the couple are getting a canvas printed of which was nice to hear .

I did have some difficulty which some compositions as most of the time there was not enough room to get the composition I wanted .If I photographed an event like this again I would go to the church before hand and see where I will be able to get my desired shots and see if i would need my flash or not as it was very dark in the church .
